It’s a given; you want to be sure that the products you offer your customers are free of any harmful substances.
The OEKO-TEX® certification is widely recognised and respected in the textile industry as it provides assurance that certified products are safe and environmentally friendly.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification system is used to test and certify that textile products including fabrics, yarns and garments do not contain harmful substances, notably chemicals such pesticides, heavy metals and formaldehyde among others, and thus ensure that they are better for people and planet.
Why is B&C OEKO-TEX® certified?
It is widely known that chemicals are used in the textile production process, for dyeing and finishing treatments for example. The challenge is therefore ensuring that substances which appear on the toxic substance list are not used (or remain within safe concentrations).
That’s where OEKO-TEX® comes in. The label certifies that such substances are not used in our finished products (or if they are it is within the mandated tolerance). This not only prevents potential skin problems for wearers, but it also protects the health of workers in our partner factories and reduces chemicals in the water waste.
By the way, did you know that all our partner factories treat their wastewater so that only clean water is released in nature? That’s another way of improving the sustainability of (y)our products.

The tests on B&C products are conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes based on our extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue and updated yearly. In many cases, the limit values for the STANDARD 100 exceed national and international requirements, so you know that B&C garments are certified to the highest standard.
